Vigilance

Isaiah 62:6-7

JerusalemWalls

6 I have posted watchmen on your walls, Jerusalem;
they will never be silent day or night.
You who call on the LORD,
       give yourselves no rest,

7 and give him no rest till he establishes Jerusalem
and makes her the praise of the earth.

Immovable

What He builds won’t move

What’s surrendered to Him is protected by Him

What’s His is cared for by Him

What He started He will finish

Put it fully in His hands.

Prayer- The Adventures of God and Me

the wardrobe

God Breathed

Psalm 39:11 Surely man is but a breath.

The Hebrew word for breath here inplies to exhale

God breathed on dust and made Adam

But a breath

God says to Jerimiah,  “before breathI formed you in the womb I knew you.”

Of coarse He knew of him

But what if He knew him-knew him?

My mother-in-law tells a story about when she was a toddler, she told her mother that she was in heaven and picked her mom out saying “she looks like she needs me”

I believe her

But a breath

The harvest is plentiful

We work the harvest and vanish

The harvest is the purpose

But a breath

“I shall not give glory to another nor my praise to graven images.”- Isaiah 42:8

We are clay jars that show the goodness of God

or merely a breath

Don’t waste your breath.

My Eyes are on You Lord

"What are you still doing here."

"What are you still doing here?"

This frightened me when I saw it on top of the ladder at my day job.  Seen it a few times in the past few years at work. But today it had the prophetic edge that shook me up.

Over lunch today I met with a local Pastor who I feel a new call to lend my services to. Just nailed down a date for a new prayer movement two days ago.

Heard a word from the Lord a few days ago that He was “putting me in a postion to have one mission and one mind.”

Had a talk with the wife and now the clock is ticking…

My eyes are on you Lord.

Without Prayer

Today to no avail I try and imagine my life without prayer

I know without the divine guidance and partnership linear vanity would stream forth

Uncontrolled chaos like being stuck on a roller coaster that never stops

But with God all time and purpose ceases

And I seek His counsel and in some strange way He seeks mine

I rest there in the divine pause to think about all that I am and All He is

Worship happens like a rain in spring bringing forth a cool and calming perspective

Everything that seemed so hard and fast all of a sudden has a soft edge and a rounded corner

What seemed impossible has been lowered like a mountain

and the low valley of negativity has been raised by praise

I try to imagine a life without prayer and fail

Cause without  it there is no life at all

Just a slow death

-Pray

The Kiln

“Firing clay transforms it from its humble, soft beginnings into a new substance, ceramic. Ceramics are tough, strong, and very similar in some ways to stone. Pieces of pottery have survived for thousands of years, all due to clay that met fire.”
