The ego has a way of self defining what we are capable of, who we are, and what we are willing to venture out and try. But, when God says “Go speak to this person or that person.” He does not consult our egos first, seeing if we are willing or able to accomplish such tasks.
He has bought us with a price and so we must do our best to kill the ego so that we might walk in the power and authority of God. Like Jesus said in reference to the coin “Render to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.(Matt. 22:21)”
We are His, not our own.
