Isaiah 24:5, 8-9  The earth is defiled by it’s people; they have disobeyed the laws, violated the statues, and broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth; it’s people must bear the guilt…. 8. The gaiety of the timbrels is stilled, the noise of the revelers is has stopped the joyful harp is silent. 9. No longer do they drink wine with a song; the beer is bitter to it’s drinker.

Looking over the landscape of the earth this prophecy seems all too close to being a reality. War, injustice, hate, and greed are the colors that paint the face of the earth. We have been poured the cup of His wrath… now it’s only a matter of time before those who have rejected His sacrifice must drink it to the dregs. Lord God have mercy on us!
