Charles Finney, a great American revivalist, was a Pastor in Ohio where they were enduring a major drought
that was effecting the whole region where he served. In the quiet place, before service at his Church, God told him that he was going to answer his prayers and cause it to rain.
Charles brought an umbrella to the meeting that Sunday and proclaimed that it was going to rain. The people thought he was crazy. The service began with no sign of rain, there were no clouds or any sign of rain. During the service the people began hearing thunder, and later heard huge blankets of rain covering the little church and the whole region. The people rejoiced!
Charles was the only one to leave dry, under his umbrella.
