“In the middle of the garden he placed the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil…. The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it. But the LordGod warned him, “You may freely eat the fruit of every tree in the garden—except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If you eat its fruit, you are sure to die.”” Genesis 2 (NLT)
God placed the one tree that they were suppose to stay away from in the middle of the garden. Right smack dab in the middle. They had a daily choice to obey Him, the tree wasn’t hidden away somewhere for them to forget about. It was a daily choice.
We too have the same daily choice to follow Christ or not to follow Him.
He waits each morning to see what we will choose. To choose life. To choose companionship with him. Or choose to try to do it without Him.
We know what He desires, but He still let’s us choose. He’s so beautiful and just.
