God, Who should I date? Where should I work? Should I donate some of my hard earned cash? Should I buy those shoes? Do they need our help? Am I effective? Why am I always victimized? Why doesn’t anyone like me?
I’m convinced that the reason we don’t hear from God in regard to specific areas of our lives is not because He doesn’t have an opinion or is not speaking. We don’t hear from Him in these areas because, one – we don’t want to hear His opinion because it will most likely inconvenience us, and two- we have not even thought that He might have an opinion.
The bright side is that He will respond when we open to Him in these hidden areas, and His direction will always bare better fruit than our own. After all He is Lord over all creation, whether we acknowledge it or not.
