A friend of mine told me a story about a time in their church history when God was moving. He told me about a time when things really started getting good and the Spirit of God was moving powerfully. He recounted that in the middle of the service a woman in the congregation got down on the floor and slithered up the pulpit like a serpent then blasphemed God to the pastor. Strangely the woman and the demons that held her captive were unresponsive to the pastor’s demands.

After a few weeks of prayer and fasting the woman, who was manifesting the demons each week, finally yielded to Christ in the pastor. The pastor recounts that He asked the demons how they got so strong that they could manifest in such a way. The demons responded that “We’ve gained our strength through of the disobedience of men.”
