The hardest and most valuable lesson I’ve ever learned about swimming was learning to give up all the paddling and kicking and learning to float in the water. It’s quite scary because you won’t float until you quit trying to swim. It doesn’t even make since. But if you ever got pulled out away from shore it is one of the only things that would save your life.

So too, I’m learning that giving up on my efforts to be a Christian and simply learning to trust God is my way to life. It doesn’t make sense.
