Like a wealthy white kid from the suburbs driving a fancy car, and acting like a thug raised in poverty and violence; when trouble comes the kid will revert back to the truth of the matter, and will have to quit acting. His pretentious persona will be challenged
and reckoned.
So too, we call ourselves Christians who walk in the authority of God. But if we hide from the trials and tribulations that God has designed to form us into His likeness, when trouble comes we will find ourselves realizing that we are but weaklings.
Hebrews 5:8 (Jesus) Although He was a Son, He learned obedience from the things which He suffered.
James says to count it all Joy when we encounter trials and tribulations. When we take on this perspective and begin to look at trials like training, then we will see that God has a plan to make us strong and agile.
