25See to it that you do not refuse Him who is speaking. For if those did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, much less will we escape who turn away from Him who warns from heaven.
26And His voice shook the earth then, but now He has promised, saying, “YET ONCE MORE I WILL SHAKE NOT ONLY THE EARTH, BUT ALSO THE HEAVEN.”
27This expression, “Yet once more,” denotes the removing of those things which can be shaken, as of created things, so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.
28Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe; for our God is a consuming fire.
Reading Daniel, Revelation, and most importantly Matthew 24 and 25 it’s pretty clear what is going to happen in the earth in the last days. We read a few words in the midst of Matthew 24 where Jesus says ‘See that you are not frightened’. I love this small passage in the midst of many passages that speak of what God has planned for the earth. Just like the instructions you might give to a child before going into a grocery store, so too Christ wanted us to know what was going on so that we would not fear. He is still very much in control. We must lean more heavily upon Him than ever. We who may of been leaning on the principles and ways of the economies of this world, it’s time to invest our whole lives into the Kingdom that cannot be shaken. Everything else will be shaken, but God’s Kingdom will not be shaken.
You who lean upon and rest in Christ, ‘See that you are not afraid.’ This was foretold for you to have peace in the midst and to even be able to proclaim the everlasting Kingdom. Fear not.
