The problem with the measure of success we make for ourselves is that it is a measure that God has not made for us.
So when we succeed at accomplishing our goal for ourselves, we find ourselves in bondage in stead of the elation we thought would come with our ‘success’. Not because our motives were unrighteous, but because they were not initiated by God.
God is NOT looking around for grand sacrifices to be in awe of,
He’s looking for simple childlike obedience.
