Ancient Paths in a Modern World

"Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls."

grief

In this tough season I’m becoming more acquainted with grief.

Songs like this seem to strike something deep in me. It’s not even the lyrics… it’s the spirit of wanting, of loss, or maybe brokenness. Somehow, Christ was a man well acquainted with grief.  I imagine when He wept with Mary and Martha over Lazarus, that He was experiencing their grief.

At this point in the journey I don’t really know what grief is to define it. But I do know that I had not known it before 2 months ago.
