The Heart
More deep than words represent
The heart beats beyond
Where words fail
The heart beats
And rests
And flutters
When words end
The heart beats
And waits
The One who gave life to the heart
Is the One who can revive and infuse the heart with new life
And it depends upon our words

Our words are as doors to the heart
Opening and shutting accordingly
We worship God with our mouths
Shouting praises till we weep
…
Yet in Kingdom Come
When in His presence
Words fail
No longer representing the heart
Then and there
Your heart is before Him
Laid bare
It’s here where the heart speaks
Confesses
Repents
Cries out
There is no hiding in the Kingdom
All is known here
For the Kingdom has come
and in the heart is where.
