Ancient Paths in a Modern World

"Stand by the roads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths, where the good way is; and walk in it, and find rest for your souls."

In a film I watched recently, set in the fifties, a large number of children were being kidnapped around the US and brought to an area in Canada where they were treated poorly, kept in cages, and killed.

The film followed a mother who lost her son to the kidnappers. In her situation she just wanted to know what happened to her son she needed some closure.

Near the very end of the film,  a boy who had escaped the kidnappers came forward to share his story with the boy’s mother. He went to her and told her that he was sure that her son was dead, because her son was the boy who held the fencing open long enough for him to escape.
