  • drowning.

Not sure if it’s a good or bad thing, but I can’t help but feel like I’m drowning in the noise of the varying agendas of this culture. From every song, to every site, to every program an agenda is being proclaimed. I have been attempting to peel back the layers in my own life… Read more

  • sacrifice.

“This concept of accepting suffering as a normal part of our everyday experience is resisted in the west. We’re taught just the opposite. Everything in our culture, personal lives and churches is geared to avoid sacrifice and suffering. • prep.

Each week during sermon preparation, I do my best to not lean on my own understanding and just listen to God. I let Him instruct every facet of the sermon. From the brainstorm of what He wants to say to His people, to the stories He wants me to use to describe the concept He… Read more

  • fear.

Like the dude who has been stuck by lightning several times and now runs inside at any sign of a storm, I’ve been asking for God to grow me in the fear of Him. Weird thing is as much as I would like to wrestle all night like Jacob or collapse like Isaiah the reverence… Read more
